GECS recognizes and subscribes to the highest goals of the partnership between the United States and Pakistan on the global war on terrorism. In the years following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, U.S. Defense Department assistance to the Government of Pakistan has been overwhelming. Funds provided through Coalition Support Funds (CSF) by US are used to reimburse costs to its allies for their assistance to the U.S. military.
